Telehealth

Due to COVID-19 concerns, we are currently offering all of our services via Telehealth, which allows you to participate in therapy via secure video from the comfort of your own home. Services we are offering via Telehealth include individual therapy, somatic experiencing/trauma therapy, ERP, and other mental health concerns, as well as consultation with other health professionals regarding your medical and mental health needs.   Starting services online or switching to a video format may feel daunting or unusual, and these feelings can be normal given our current circumstances. We are certified to provide telehealth through Person-Centered Technology and meet the state of Washington criteria for practicing telehealth services. For many of the evidence-based treatments that we offer there is also evidence that they can be just as effective when delivered remotely. We will help guide you in getting everything set up to make this type of service delivery possible for you and your family.
What do I need to successfully start telehealth sessions? You will need an electronic device, such as a computer, tablet, or smart phone, that has video and audio capabilities. Some sort of headphones or earbuds are a nice addition, but not necessary. They can allow you to keep your session as private as possible. You will receive a link for your session through SimplePractice, and can access your video link anytime via your client portal. Prior to your session, you will receive a link to you session. If you have not used that platform, feel free to contact me for help, or to arrange an alternative. It is important to find a place that is as private and free from distraction as possible. It is important that only the people in the session are in the area when you are in session. If more than one person will be involved in the session, please make sure the device is set up so that everyone can be seen. Lastly, please make sure that you are near an outlet or have a fully charged device.
